 First Aid at Work Course

Designed for the person nominated as the First Aider in the Workplace

We hold bespoke First Aid at Work courses (FAW) for companies, schools, organisations and groups. Scroll down to read more or get in touch with us for a quote.

Designed for anyone over 16 years of age whom will be a nominated First Aider in the Workplace. This course meets the requirements of the HSE and is valid for a period of three years. A first Aider is someone who has undergone a training course in administering first aid at work and holds a current First Aid at Work (FAW) Certificate. The training has to be HSE Approved. A first aider can undertake the role of an 'appointed person'.

The standard FAW course takes place over three days, in addition to theory we do our best to ensure plenty of opportunity to practise skills during practical sessions.

If all of your team members already hold an in date (within 3 years) FAW certificate you will be able to attend a First Aid at Work Refresher course, this refreshes the skills undertaken in the full 3 day course but is reduced to two days in length.
The First Aid at Work course will provide you with the confidence to manage accidents or sudden illness in the workplace, in public or at home ensuring you understand how to take action at a scene, what information to give to emergency services and how to report an accident.

Upon completion, you will be provided with a certificate that meet the requirements outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), supported by the Federation of First Aid Training Organisations (FOFATO) and accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB).

The excellent training recently delivered by Medical Lifesigns has enhanced the capability of our workforce beyond all expectation. The positive effect on the safety culture of our workforce is tangible and it has helped to establish a solid base on which we can build. The pace and level of training was just right and accounted for the varied experience and knowledge of multinational students with first rate results. I cannot recommend the Medical lifesigns and their highly professional staff strongly enough.
